Meet the athletes who embody the 1LR Mindset
Drake Foral
Multi-Sport Athlete
June 2026
Drake is the kind of athlete you notice before he ever says a word — not because he talks big, but because he shows up, competes hard, and does the work that most kids his age avoid. Class of 2031. Future MW Wildcat. Multi‑sport competitor who doesn’t hide from the grind. As QB1, he’s led his tackle football team to four straight championships in a league where nothing comes easy. He took Team Nebraska to the FBU National Championships and held the job there too — because pressure doesn’t shake him. It sharpens him. Baseball? Same story. He’s a shut‑down arm, a reliable infielder, a ball‑hawk in the outfield, and a hitter who can hurt you with contact or power. He plays on a top‑tier squad that collects rings and state titles because he contributes everywhere — not just when it’s convenient. Basketball? He defends, rebounds, hustles, and has grown into a legit offensive threat. He impacts the game without needing the spotlight. What separates Drake isn’t talent — it’s character. He listens. He works. He competes. He doesn’t coast. He doesn’t make excuses. He’s the kind of kid coaches trust and teammates follow. That’s why he fits the 1LR Mindset. He lives it without trying to impress anyone. He just does the work.
DRAKE'S 1LR TESTIMONIAL: "To me the 1LR Mindset means approaching every game, practice, and opportunity as if it could be my last chance to compete. It reminds me not to take any moment for granted and to give my best effort every time I step onto the field or court. This mindset gives me an edge in sports because I play with greater intensity, focus, and determination. Knowing that every play matters pushes me to compete harder, stay disciplined, and leave everything I have out there. No matter the sport, "One Last Run" motivates me to play with purpose and make the most of every opportunity." Drake Foral
Max Yager
Baseball
June 2026
Some athletes are talented. Some work hard. Some are talented AND work hard. Max Yager, class of '27 is one of those athletes. On the diamond, Max possesses the talent and potential to play at the D1 level. But what separates him isn't what happens when the lights come on. It's what happens when nobody is watching. His relentless work ethic in the weightroom, commitment to improvement, and willingness to outwork the competition have helped him become the player he is today. Yet if you've ever spent time around Max, you'll notice something else. He's always smiling, celebrating others' success, encouraging those around him, and bringing positive energy. His journey hasn't been without adversity. Lingering knee pain began to threaten sports he loved. A standout football player with game changing ability was forced to make a decision. To protect his dream of playing baseball at the next level, he had to walk away from football. During his last game, he had no clue it would be his last. But one thing is for sure, he left it all on the field that last game. That's the 1LR Mindset. Understanding that every practice, every game, every opportunity could be your ONE LAST RUN. Max lives that mindset daily.
MAX'S 1LR TESTIMONIAL: I was unfortunately fortunate enough to experience a situation that made me very aware of the 1LR Mindset. I broke my ankle during our state semis football game in 6th grade and wasn't able to suit up for the championship. That day, I made the decision to pound the weights and become as strong as I possibly could to try and prevent future injuries. Since then I haven't taken many days off. Today, I try to apply the 1LR Mindset to every aspect of my life--not just sports, because you never know when your last will be. As I know that life is full of curveballs, just like me.
